10th Age Shadow Day in the Middle School

In an effort to make the transition from Lower to Middle School as smooth as possible for both students and parents, we have implemented a variety of programs over the past several years, including multiple parents' nights, summer laptop orientation, and four days of student orientation in the fall. In addition, the 10th Agers spend a day in the Middle School. Our first "shadow day" was today, and it was a big success. Two 10th Age homerooms saw a Middle School assembly, had lunch in the Atrium with the 5th graders, observed several classes, and enjoyed a fun activity in the gym. Science teacher Joel Ewen, after seeing the academic prowess of the 10th Agers first hand, exclaimed, "You learned enough today in science class to skip the rest of 10th Age!"
